어떻게 가요? Ask how to get there

Combine a destination with 에 and ask how to reach it.

Quick phrase

역에 가요.

I go to the station.

Browsing does not mark a lesson complete. Use Save & next after practice to save completion.

You already know 학교에 가요 (go to school). Add two useful places: 역 (station) and 도서관 (library). 어디 asks where; 어떻게 asks how. 도서관에 어떻게 가요? asks how to get to the library, rather than only asking where it is.

Listen and choose

Listen first. Choose what you hear. This optional practice does not change your saved quiz score.

역에 가요.

I go to the station.

도서관에 어떻게 가요?

How do I get to the library?

걸어가요.

I walk there. / Go there on foot, in context.

Useful basics on this page
어디예요? Ask where a place is →학교가 어디예요?

Where is the school?

에 and 에서: going, being and doing →학교에 가요.

I go to school.

Notice the pattern

Attach 에 to the destination: 역에, 도서관에. 걸어가요 comes from 걸어가다 (go on foot). In a route answer, 걸어가요 can suggest walking; it is not the explicit request form 가세요 taught later. These are fictional language examples, not directions to a real place.

Try it yourself

Which question asks how to get to the library?

Complete 역__ 가요.

What does 걸어가요 express here?

Build “How do I get to the library?”

…

Choose “I study at the library”, using the familiar action-location pattern.

RETRIEVE BEFORE YOU REVEAL

Say it in your own time.

Ask how to get to the station. Give an imagined answer: on foot.

Resolve each question and make a recall self-check to save completion. Unit menus remain available for browsing.
